Terms of Conditions

Steady Hands First Aid Pty Ltd Last updated: August 2026

1. About These Terms
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Steady Hands First Aid website (steadyhandsfirstaid.com.au) and your booking or participation in any course delivered by Steady Hands First Aid Pty Ltd ("Steady Hands," "we," "us," "our"). By booking a course, using our website, or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Our Training Partnership
Steady Hands First Aid delivers nationally recognised training and assessment in partnership with Allens Training Pty Ltd (RTO 90909). This means your enrolment, certification, and access to certain student rights (including complaints, appeals, and recognition of prior learning) are governed by Allens Training's RTO policies, in addition to these Terms. Where a conflict arises between these Terms and an Allens Training RTO policy on a matter of enrolment or certification, the RTO policy will take precedence.

3. Bookings and Enrolment
•    Course bookings can be made via our website, by email, or by phone.
•    A place in a course is only confirmed once payment (or an agreed deposit/purchase order) has been received.
•    You must provide accurate information at the time of booking, including participant names and any access or support requirements.
•    Some courses require pre-course work or minimum entry requirements, which will be communicated at the time of booking.

4. Payment, Fees, and Refunds
•    Course fees are as listed on our website or as quoted at the time of booking, and are inclusive of GST unless stated otherwise.
•    Payment is required prior to course commencement unless a separate invoicing arrangement has been agreed in writing (e.g. for workplace or group bookings).
•    Refunds, cancellations, and transfers are handled in accordance with the Allens Training fees, refunds, and cancellation terms set out in the Student Handbook.
•    Student Handbook – Fees, Refunds and Cancellations

5. Course Delivery
•    Courses are delivered by a practising paramedic and/or qualified trainers and assessors.
•    We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel a course due to insufficient enrolments, trainer illness, or circumstances beyond our control. Where this occurs, we will offer an alternative date or a refund in line with our refund terms.
•    Certification is issued by Allens Training Pty Ltd (RTO 90909) upon successful completion of all assessment requirements.

6. Student Rights, Responsibilities and Policies
As a student enrolled through Steady Hands First Aid under Allens Training's RTO, you have access to the following policies:
•    Appeals Policy
•    Complaints Policy
•    Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Policy
•    Academic Integrity and Plagiarism Policy

We encourage all students to read these policies prior to enrolment. If you're unsure how any of these apply to you, contact us at info@steadyhandsfirstaid.com.au and we'll point you in the right direction.

7. Privacy
We collect and handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
•    Privacy Policy

Because your enrolment and certification are processed via Allens Training (RTO 90909), some of your information will also be shared with and handled by Allens Training and reported to relevant government bodies (including the National Centre for Vocational Education Research, NCVER) as required by law.

You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes and not in a way that could damage, disable, or impair its functioning.

9. Limitation of Liability
•    First aid training provides participants with knowledge and skills but does not guarantee outcomes in a real emergency. To the extent permitted by law, Steady Hands First Aid excludes liability for any indirect or consequential loss arising from participation in our courses.
•    Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services or legal requirements. The version published on our website at the time of your booking or website use will apply.
